Nestled in among gently swaying pines and numerous flower gardens stands the the banquet hall and picturesque Chapel in the Pines, in Sycamore, Illinois.
Hello, my name is Donna Petersen, and I have a little story for you. One day my husband Howard came home from work, and I asked, "Honey, would you build me a little white church in the corner of the hayfield?" Without a question, he said, "Okay, I can do that."
As Howard was finishing the chapel, people kept stopping by and asking, "Can we get married here?" And so the fairy tale began.
Howard finished the little white Chapel just in time for our 30th wedding anniversary. Four years later, the Chapel in the Pines was expanded to accommodate one hundred guests, without losing its quaint appeal.
And now, we have added a vintage banquet hall to our private 7 acre estate in the countryside which opened in August 2010.
